Rick Orlina, PhD
Lead Data Analyst

Rick Orlina is a program evaluation and research analyst with experience working across a variety of disciplines and industries. He earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1997, his PhD in Learning Sciences from Northwestern University in 2010, and his Certificate of Advanced Study in Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University in 2015. Dr. Orlina has worked on evaluation projects in education, national security research, social services, and health care. His projects have employed a range of qualitative and quantitative methods, including spatial analysis, hierarchical linear modeling, and social network analysis. As a research analyst with Volunteers of American of Los Angeles, Dr. Orlina supported programs serving people experiencing homelessness, veterans, survivors of human trafficking, and other communities across Los Angeles County.
