Joseph Mango, MFA
Media Director

Joseph earned his MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where his screenplay James Dean America won the Screenplay Showcase. He received his BA in American Studies/English from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining UCLA, Joseph gained industry experience working as a production assistant and production coordinator on feature films and television series. He later worked at the UCLA Center for Health Services and Society, where he co-directed the HEArts (Healing and Education through the Arts) Program. In this role, he produced plays, films, operas, and planned community outreach events focused on depression and mental health stigma, including his stage play The One With Friends. For PMHP, Joseph leads the media core, where he is responsible for creating and managing media content, as well as filming and editing video resources. In 2023, he received the UCLA Chancellor’s Excellence in Service Award.
