Dr. Lisa Davis is the Associate Director of the Public Mental Health Partnership. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at UCLA and has a PhD in social work focusing on mental health services research. Dr. Davis’ research focuses on community-partnered approaches aimed at supporting high-quality care in systems serving individuals with severe mental illness with multiple vulnerabilities. Recent projects include studies examining factors leading to improved access to care, effective substance use services, and community integration among those receiving services in public mental health. Dr. Davis also has a background in clinical practice and has held a number of clinical, administrative and management positions in community-based mental health organizations. In her current role as the Associate Director of the Public Mental Health Partnership at UCLA, she oversees community-academic collaborations involving the use of strategies such as training and technical assistance to increase the uptake of evidence-based practices and support high-quality care in public mental health.
