Larry is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received his Master of Social Work degree from Long Beach State University in 2002.  Upon graduating he focused his career on developing as a mental health therapist with a focus on the children/TAY population and later transitioning into the adult treatment population. His professional interests include forensic mental health services, crisis-oriented treatment, substance abuse prevention, and mental health program development & implementation.

Over the last 20 years, Larry has held several leadership positions within LACDMH contracted providers in the areas of SPA 4, 6, & 7. During this period, Larry was able to serve in many different roles including Program Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor, Project Manager, and Program Director.

In 2010, Larry joined the faculty team at California State University, Los Angeles as an Adjunct Professor of graduate studies for their School of Social Work where his areas of focus include human behavior, mental health recovery systems, clinical assessing & diagnosing, and trauma & substance abuse treatment.

Currently, Larry serves as a FSP Implementation Specialist Supervisor with the DMH + UCLA Public Mental Health Partnership. His work focuses primarily on implementation and technical support to existing FSP programs throughout Los Angeles County.
