Understanding Best Practices in FSP

July 19, 2023

Presented by Elizabeth Bromely, MD, PhD & Lisa Davis, PhD, LCSW

Intensive team-based mental health models of care have been shown to reduce psychiatric hospital use, increase housing stability, and improve symptoms and subjective quality of life for people with severe mental illness (Bond & Drake, 2015; Spivak et al., 2019). Research also suggests that the more closely mental health programs follow evidence-informed practices related to areas such as multidisciplinary team configuration, program structure, and service array, the better the outcomes. This training will clarify a set of best practices for Full Service Partnership (FSP) teams using a program logic model. It will also define and review the concept of fidelity and quality improvement, and the application of these concepts to assess the implementation of best practices, and improve the quality of care among FSP teams.
