April 14, 2020

Presented by Elizabeth Mackey, LMSW

This training includes an overview of Harm Reduction principles followed by specific strategies for working with people who use drugs. Discussion will focus around on how to maintain engagement with people who use drugs and utilize a ‘drug-set-setting’ framework to reduce the harms resulting from drug use. The discussion will bridge into consideration for these strategies in the COVID-19 context, followed by COVID-19-specific guidance for safer drug use, withdrawal management, overdose prevention, and increased treatment access.
